  • Tamper Resistant Faceplate System

    view source
  • US Patent:
    20090221179, Sep 3, 2009
  • Filed:
    Feb 28, 2008
  • Appl. No.:
    12/039577
  • Inventors:
Arnel Berton CITURS - Omaha NE, US
  • International Classification:
    H01R 13/66
  • US Classification:
    439536
  • Abstract:
A tamper resistant faceplate assembly includes a faceplate base and a removably attached cover. The faceplate base presents ports (such as RJ-type jacks, fiber optic couplers and/or coaxial F-type connectors) at a downwardly directed angle. The cover includes several cable holes near its bottom. The cable holes are size to permit passage of a cable, but to exclude passage of a connector and/or to restrict the insertion of a finger or use of a tool to install/remove a connector. The cover is attached to the faceplate base by a snap-locking engagement, but may be further secured to the faceplate base by a screw or security fastener. The cover deters unauthorized connections and disconnections of connectors to communication networks via the ports of the faceplate base.
  • Grounding Adapter For Shielded Cable

  • US Patent:
    20130313015, Nov 28, 2013
  • Filed:
    May 22, 2012
  • Appl. No.:
    13/477326
  • Inventors:
Arnel Berton Citurs - Omaha NE, US
  • Assignee:
    LINDSAY CORPORATION - Omaha NE
  • International Classification:
    H05K 9/00
    H02G 15/02
  • US Classification:
    174363, 174 78
  • Abstract:
A grounding adapter to be used with a cable comprises a central band, a plurality of upper extensions, and a plurality of lower extensions. The central band may include an upper side, an opposing lower side, a left side, and an opposing right side to form a rectangle. The upper extensions may be spaced apart and coupled to the upper side of the central band. The lower extensions may be spaced apart and coupled to the lower side of the central band. Each upper extension and lower extension may have an isosceles triangle shape with a first side and a second side of equal length and a rounded corner therebetween. The lower extensions may be offset from the upper extensions such that a space between any two lower extensions aligns with an upper extension.
  • Voltage Unit Bus Clip

  • US Patent:
    61986151, Mar 6, 2001
  • Filed:
    Jun 12, 1998
  • Appl. No.:
    9/096689
  • Inventors:
    Walter Pelosi - Randolph NJ
David Stevens Kerr - Morris Plains NJ
Bassel Hage Daoud - Parsippany NJ
Antonio Albino Figueiredo - Belleville NJ
Arnel Berton Citurs - Omaha NE
  • Assignee:
Avaya Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
  • International Classification:
    H01L 2362
  • US Classification:
    361119
  • Abstract:
A telecommunications protection unit includes a voltage unit having an electrically insulating base configured to house a diode module assembly and a voltage limiting cell therein. The voltage limiting cell and diode module assembly are retained within the housing by a bus clip. The housing includes structure for preventing damage to the voltage limiting cell and diode module assembly during placement of the bus clip thereon. The diode module assembly is a one-piece article including a bus bar and several diodes and terminals which can be used by itself or in a voltage unit to provide desired electrical effects and facilitate assembly of an electrical system such as a telecommunications protection unit. The terminals of the diode module are highly flexible to respond to excessive voltage and sneak current events encountered by telecommunications protection equipment, and the bus clip is constructed to provide a plurality of independently yieldable segments to accommodate diode stacks of variable heights and reduce manufacturing costs.
