Abstract:
A fluid connector in a fluid joint assembly such as in a machine hydraulic system includes a connector body having a stem with a seal face extending circumferentially around a connector axis at a backup sealing location. A non-metallic seal is upon the stem and extends circumferentially around the connector axis at a primary sealing location. The fluid connector also includes a swivel nut including threads and a snap retainer and supported for rotation upon the stem. The fluid connector can establish a primary sealing state by way of hand installation, and can be torqued to a backup sealing state to provide a robust metal-to-metal seal.

Abstract:
A connection includes a male piece configured to permit insertion into a female piece. The male piece includes an open surface extending through the male piece to permit a fluid to be communicated through the male piece and an external recessed surface portion. When the male piece is inserted into the female piece, the external recessed surface portion is aligned with an open surface extending through the female piece to form an opening extending through the connection. The opening is configured to allow a leg of a staple to be inserted through the opening to couple the male piece and the female piece together. The external recessed surface portion forms a cavity under a portion of the leg of the staple to prevent an edge of the leg of the staple from contacting the external recessed surface portion when the leg of the staple extends through the opening.

Abstract:
A coupling device is provided. The coupling device may include a stem having a first end, a second end, a groove, and a threaded portion. A first engagement member may be disposed over the stem between the first end and second end. The first engagement member may be movable relative to the stem. An inner sealing member may be disposed in the groove. When the first engagement member is in a first position, the inner sealing member may be retained in the groove, seal against a surface of the stem, and may not be removed. When the first engagement member is in a second position, the inner sealing member may be retained in the groove, does not seal against the surface of the stem, and may be removed. The coupling device may include a washer, an outer sealing member, and a second engagement member disposed over the stem.
