  • Abstract:
    An electric hair trimmer generally includes a handle housing a drive motor and a cutter head releasably connectable to the handle. The cutter head includes a housing having an interior compartment, and a cutting assembly including a pair of cutting blades. At least one of the cutting blades is in operative connection with the drive motor upon connection of the cutter head with the handle for reciprocating movement of the at least one of the blades. At least a portion of the cutting assembly is disposed within the housing, and the cutting assembly further has a front edge disposed exterior of the housing for trimming hair upon operation of the trimmer. The housing has a plurality of guard fingers at least in part wrapped over the front edge of the cutting assembly to inhibit the front edge against contacting a person's skin during hair trimming.

    An adjustable comb assembly, which is attachable to an electric hair cutting appliance of the type including opposing cutting blades defining a cutting edge margin for cutting hair, includes a plurality of teeth for regulating a haircut length resulting from the hair being cut by the cutting edge margin of the electric hair cutting appliance. The teeth are selectively movable relative to the cutting edge of the electric hair cutting appliance to any one of a substantially infinite number of different haircut length positions within a range from a maximum haircut length position, in which the comb assembly facilitates cutting hair to a maximum haircut length, to a minimum haircut length position, in which the comb assembly facilitates cutting hair to a minimum haircut length.

    An epilator includes a housing, a drive mechanism, and an epilation head mounted on the housing. The epilation head includes a barrel rotatable about a longitudinal rotation axis of the barrel and operatively connected to the drive mechanism for driven rotation of the barrel about its rotation axis. The barrel has an outer surface spaced transversely from the barrel rotation axis. The barrel has a convex longitudinal contour across at least a portion of the barrel outer surface. The barrel further has a plurality of sets of tweezer plates accessible from the outer surface of the barrel. Each set includes a first tweezer plate and a second tweezer plate. At least one of the first and second tweezer plates is moveable relative to the other one of the first and second tweezer plates for contact with each other in response to rotation of the barrel.
