Abstract:
A separator assembly is disclosed herein. An example includes a base to mount to a printing device and a wall supported by the base. The example also includes a singulation assembly adjacent the wall to separate a medium from a media stack and a ramp adjacent the singulation assembly to guide the medium from the media stack to a feed assembly. The example further includes a corner relief feature on either side of and below the ramp into which corners of the medium may drop and travel below a remainder of the medium as the medium is guided from the media stack to the feed assembly and a guide adjacent each corner relief feature to lift the corners of the medium out of the corner relief features before the medium enters the feed assembly. A media handling assembly is also disclosed herein as is a method of media handling.

Abstract:
An apparatus may include a processor that may be caused to access a plurality of measurements of a device. The processor may provide the plurality of measurements as an input to an autoencoder, the autoencoder being trained based on measurements of devices in working condition and access an output of the autoencoder, the output comprising a reconstruction of the input based on decoding an encoded version of the input. The processor may further be caused to determine whether the device will fail based on the output.

Abstract:
In some examples, velocity and torque based media motor control may include ascertaining a velocity and torque for a feed roller motor associated with a feed roller, and ascertaining a velocity and torque for a drive roller motor associated with a drive roller that is to receive media from the feed roller. Further, velocity and torque based media motor control may include determining whether the torque for the drive roller motor is greater than a torque target. In response to a determination that the torque for the drive roller motor is greater than the torque target, the torque for the drive roller motor may be reduced to the torque target, and the torque for the drive roller motor may be maintained at the torque target.

Abstract:
An example bridge module includes a media transport roller to move in a translational direction, a rotatable guide proximate to the media transport roller, a handle coupled to the rotatable guide to cause the rotatable guide to articulate into an open configuration and away from the media transport roller, and an elongated member operatively connected to the rotatable guide, the elongated member to articulate into the open configuration creating an unobstructed pathway to the media transport roller.

Abstract:
A system to pick print media from a media tray and feed the print media to a media path includes a pick roller to contact the print media and pick the print media from the media tray, a motor to rotate the pick roller, and a controller to operate the motor to rotate the pick roller in a first mode to pick the print media from the media tray and operate the motor to rotate the pick roller in a second mode different than the first mode to feed the print media to the media path.
Pick Arm Raise With One-Way Clutch And Torque Limiter
- Spring TX, US Devin S Uehling - Vancouver WA, US
International Classification:
G03G 15/00 B65H 3/06
Abstract:
A media drive may include a media drive member, a shaft, a pick arm rotationally supporting the media drive member and a transmission operably coupling the shaft and the media drive member such that rotation of the shaft in a first direction drives the media drive member. A one-way clutch may be coupled to the shaft so as to be operably disengaged from the shaft in response to the shaft rotating in the first direction, wherein the one-way clutch is to rotate with the shaft in response to the shaft being rotated in a second direction opposite the first direction. A torque limiter may be connected to the one-way clutch to rotate with the one-way clutch, wherein the torque limiter is coupled to the pick arm to pivot the pick arm and the media drive member in response to the shaft being rotated in the second direction.

Abstract:
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a sheet transport device is described. The sheet transport device includes a pickup roller to insert a sheet into a sheet path. A pair of separation rollers of the sheet transportation device form a nip that advances the sheet along the sheet path. A first separation shaft on which a first separation roller is disposed rotates in a first direction as the sheet is advanced and a second separation shaft on which a second separation roller is disposed also rotates in the first direction as the sheet is advanced. The second separation roller is driven in a second direction via a torque limiter. A motor rotates the shafts. A one-way clutch is disposed on the second separation shaft to disengage the second separation shaft from the motor when the motor is operating in a reverse mode.
