I studied marketing in school and decided to get a real estate license and help some buyers and sellers of homes and condos. I have now been doing this for over 30 years in the northern Virginia area near Washington DC. I walk my customers through all of the steps in buying or selling a home. I have worked 7 days a week and when its slow only 5 days a week. It has been interesting as my customers have bought some good investment properties as well as homes in which they live. My business comes from referrals most of the time. I work with a lot of 1st time buyers who need to trust someone as they are buying for the first time. I have been through many different markets and seen the markets ebb and flow. In the long run, real estate has always been a good hedge against inflation and people always need a place to live.
