A standing exercise device foldable between operative and storage positions includes a base on which a non-sitting user at least partially stands during a variety of pushing or pulling exercises. A lever is pivotally connected to the base and a mechanism providing adjustable resistance for pushing or pulling exercises connects the base and lever. A handle bar assembly is pivotally connected to and extends upwardly from the lever.
A striking target device has a target body with a generally planar striking surface with a main striking area and at least one pivot striking area. The device further includes a base, and a pivot mechanism for pivotally mounting the target body on the base such that the striking area remains fixed on a first plane when struck in the main striking area, but pivots on an axis to a different fixed plane when struck in the pivot striking area. The pivot mechanism includes a cam edge of the base, a cam follower of a guide tube of the target body, and a tension element for biasing the cam edge against the cam follower. The pivot mechanism allows the target body to pivot about the axis such that striking surface pivots to a different fixed striking plane when struck in the pivot striking area.

Abstract:
An exercise machine comprises a housing and a resistive force apparatus. The housing has a cavity therein and a plurality of exterior faces. The resistive force apparatus is attached to the housing within the cavity. The resistive force apparatus includes a plurality of flexible tension members each having an end accessible at one of said exterior faces of the housing. Each one of the flexible tension members is movable between a respective retracted position and a respective extended position with respect to the housing. Each one of the flexible tension members is biased to its respective retracted position.
An insect stopping and capturing device, comprising a handle with a compression chamber at one end of the handle. A shaft extends through the handle into the compression chamber where a soft head is attached to the shaft, the soft head larger than the diameter of the compression chamber. A hand grip is attached to the shaft opposite the compression chamber. From a comfortable distance, the user positions the soft head over a crawling or stationary insect. The hand grip is pulled away from the compression chamber to draw the soft head into the compression chamber to wrap the soft head around the insect as the head is being compressed. The insect can then be released outdoors by pushing the hand grip, which in turn ejects the insect. The insect may also be terminated by simply placing the compression chamber against a hard surface and then pushing the hand grip toward the surface. The head is compressed against the surface, crushing the insect contained therein.
