Abstract:
A latent elastic laminate material, and methods of making latent elastic laminate materials. The laminate includes a latent polymer, which itself may or may not possess latent elasticity, that is applied to at least one elastic member while the elastic member is in a stretched configuration. The elastic member, at least partially covered with the latent polymer, is attached to at least one substrate. The amount of latent polymer applied to the elastic member may provide enough force to overcome a retractive force of the elastic member when the latent polymer is at a temperature below a softening point of the latent polymer, yet the amount of latent polymer may be small enough to allow the laminate to retract into an elastic, gathered structure when the laminate is heated to a softening point of the latent polymer. The laminate may be incorporated into a variety of articles including personal care garments and cleaning cloths.

Abstract:
Absorbent articles having form fitting properties are disclosed. In particular, the absorbent articles include at least one waist elastic member that extends a substantial distance in the longitudinal direction. The waist elastic member, for instance, may be positioned in a front region of the article, in a back region of the article or in both the front and back regions. The waist elastic member includes a breathable elastic film. In order for the film to be breathable, the film includes apertures. The apertures appear on the film according to a particular pattern and having a particular diameter so that the film retains desired stretch properties.
Cross-Directional Elastic Films With Machine Direction Stiffness
A multilayer film including an elastomeric polymeric core layer and a polymeric skin layer on each side of the core layer. The polymeric skin layers are not elastomeric and the multilayer film is elastic in the cross-direction. The multilayered film is elastic in the cross-direction, has a non-tacky surface feel, and has machine-direction stiffness.

Abstract:
An insulating insert for a packaging system includes six pockets and multiple sealed dividers. The six pockets are rectangular in shape and are each filled with an insulating material. The six pockets include a bottom pocket configured to contact a bottom inside surface of a box, four side pockets each configured to contact a respective side inside surface of the box, and a top pocket configured to contact a top inside surface of the box when the insulating insert is placed into the box. Each sealed divider is located between two adjacent pockets. The sealed dividers provide fold locations to permit the insulating insert to be folded and installed within the box so that each of the six pockets contacts a respective inside surface of the box.
