Hometown: I was born on the east coast, but moved around a lot (Tokyo anyone?), I eventually settled in northern California before relocating to Los Angeles. On Me: I am fiercely passionate about singing and performing, and have been since childhood. Obsessed, I sank my teeth into musical theater programs, and eventually went on to major in Theater Arts at Santa Clara University, in northern California. Over the years I have performed in over 25 musical theater productions. But that’s not the half of it…At age 9 my life took on an inspired new direction when I wrote my first song in the back of a taxi cab. From that point on my eyes were wide open, and I’ve never looked back. Being adopted, there’s always been a bit of a chip on my shoulder, but over the years I’ve learned how to focus that energy and use it to motivate myself when things get tough. Music has always been my refuge, and I want to touch people’s lives with my music and move them on an emotional level the way that the artists that inspired me have. I want to be the emotional outlet for the world!!! On Music: My musical vision is unique, and it’s an integral part of who I am. My personalities (yes, there are many!!!) are well represented in the way I write, the way I sing, and when I take the stage to perform. I admire game changers like Madonna and Eminem, artists who’s careers seem to continually evolve. Not only musically and lyrically, but the way they touch peoples lives. Although they are stylistically different, what they do is real…there’s no bullshit and no fluff. On My team: My team is f+king there!
