Shortage of saline causes hospitals, dialysis centers to scramble to manage supply
view source- Capital Dialysis in Northeast Washington typically treats about 90 patients a day, with each treatment requiring one 1,000-milliliter bag of IV saline, medical director Jay Ocuin said. He has directed staff to use the saline more wisely. He also has enough to last another four to six weeks, he said.
