Man sentenced for selling heroin that led to fatal overdose
Timothy Tingle-Brown, 29, admitted to selling heroin in April 2013 to a man at an apartment in Taylor Mill, Ky. The man subsequently died from an overdose from the heroin Tingle-Brown sold to him, said Kyle Edelen, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
As part of the settlement, the treatment programs and pharmacies surrendered their DEA registration numbers. As a result, the facilities lost their authority to dispense prescription drugs, said Kyle Edelen, a spokesman for the U.S. attorneys office.
