(1) In 1996, I created demolition, roadway & striping plans for Olympic Avenue in Atlanta. This project won an award from American Institute of Architects, Georgia chapter.
(2) In 1999, I received “Engineering Excellence Award” from the American Council of Civil Engineers, Georgia, for conceiving, designing and supervising site improvements for 51,000 square feet building on a very difficult 8-acre site.
(3) On a $1 billion I-75/I-575 Reversible Managed Lanes Northwest Corridor project to be constructed as a design-build project, my team saved Georgia Department of Transportation over $100 million by conducting Value-Engineering Study. In 2011, American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO) gave Merit Award to this study.
(4) Also in 2011, AASHTO also awarded 1st place to my team's VE Study. We saved 53% on the cost of replacing Flint River Bridge and associated realignment of State Route 36 in Talbot & Upson County in South-Central Georgia.
