Abstract:
A remanufactured toner cartridge includes a wall defining a fill hole that is used to refill the cartridge with toner. A patch covers the fill hole, and a heat activated adhesive non-removably attaches the patch to the wall. The fill hole can be formed with a heat knife such that when the heat knife is withdrawn it forms a raised ridge of material extending around the perimeter of the fill hole. The patch is attached to the wall by applying heat and pressure to the patch, which also softens and at least partially flattens the ridge of material surrounding the fill hole such that the patch is substantially flush with the wall upon completion of the operation.

Abstract:
A cope for a core box has a passage for passing sand into a core box cavity and a bore for passing catalyst into the core box cavity to harden a sand core formed therein. The bore may extend from an exterior surface of the cope to the cope passage. The cope may have structure for forming a seal with a sand injection tube following sand injection, such as a blow-up seal or an O-ring. A method of producing cores in a core box includes the step of providing a cope, a drag, and a cavity formed therebetween, the cope having a passage for receiving an injection tube and a bore for passing catalyst. Further steps include using the injection tube to inject sand through the cope passage into the cavity and passing catalyst through the bore in the cope into the cavity. A seal may be formed between the cope and the injection tube after sand injection.

Abstract:
A surgical positioning device cover, kit, and method are provided and are configured for use with a vacuum formable surgical positioning device. The cover includes a main body portion a main opening for receiving the surgical positioning device and at least one pneumatic opening configured to provide access to a valve assembly of the surgical positioning device. The surgical positioning device cover also includes a plurality of straps secured to the main body portion and configured to secure the cover, the surgical positioning device, and a patient to a surgical table.
A padding assembly suitable for the interior of headgear, such as surgical headgear, includes a padding layer with first and second sides. An attachment layer is provided on the first side of the padding layer for attaching the padding assembly to the headgear. A plurality of comfort layers are stacked one upon the other on the second side of the padding layer. Each comfort layer includes an outer contact layer formed of a comfort material, and an adhesive layer opposite the contact layer for securing each comfort layer to an underlying comfort layer. Each comfort layer may be removed upon becoming soiled to expose the underlying clean comfort layer for a subsequent use.

Abstract:
A refurbished toner blade for a toner cartridge and a method for refurbishing a toner blade for a toner cartridge are provided. The refurbished toner blade includes a fixed portion configured for attachment to a portion of a toner cartridge, a depending portion extending away from the fixed portion, and a permanent deflection that is formed during refurbishment of the toner blade and that extends between the fixed portion and the depending portion. The refurbished toner blade is formed from a used toner blade in which the depending portion has obtained a permanent deformation in a first direction after an initial period of use. The permanent deflection deflects the depending portion in a second direction opposite the first direction.
