Awards:
The Gill Robb Wilson Award #2717 National Headquarters Civil Air Patrol The Gill Robb Wilson Award is Civil Air Patrol’s (CAP) highest award for senior member professional development. It recognizes officers who have dedicated themselves to leadership and personal development in the CAP. This award was first given in 1964 and honors the late Gill Robb Wilson. He is regarded as the founder of Civil Air Patrol, and served as CAP’s first executive officer.
As the member progresses through the program, he completes five increasingly complex training levels. Each level requires the member to become more involved in CAP activities, master skills in one of 23 technical areas, and develop leadership ability. In addition, the officer must direct the training of fellow members in a variety of courses. He must also have served in command or leadership positions for at least three years. Finally, he must have completed CAP’s capstone course, the National Staff College. Aviation Support Services Safety Award National Business Aviation Association The NBAA Aviation Support Services Safety Award is presented to aviation personnel employed by Member Companies primarily for support of corporate/business flight operations and whose company has had no aircraft accidents during their employment period.
