Abstract:
An apparatus includes a housing, an adjustment member, and a microneedle. The housing can be coupled to a medicament container, and includes a hub surface that can contact a target surface. The adjustment member is within the housing and separates an inner volume of the housing into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber is fluidically coupled with the medicament container. The adjustment member, which is coupled to the microneedle, can transition between a first configuration and a second configuration. A proximal end portion of the microneedle is fluidically coupled to the first chamber such that a substance can be conveyed from the medicament container through the microneedle. A distal tip of the microneedle extends from the hub surface by a first distance when the adjustment member is in the first configuration, and by a second distance when the adjustment member is in the second configuration.

Abstract:
Devices, methods, and kits for ocular drug delivery are described herein. An apparatus can include a housing, an energy storage member, a barrel, and a hub. The housing contains the energy storage member. A proximal end portion of the barrel is coupled to a distal end portion of the housing. The barrel is configured to contain medicament and includes at least a portion of a piston and an elastomeric member. The piston is configured to move the elastomeric member within the barrel in response to a force produced by the energy storage member. The hub is coupled to a distal end portion of the barrel. An inner surface of the hub defines a nozzle through which the medicament flows when the elastomeric member moves within the barrel. The nozzle and the energy storage member are collectively configured to produce a fluid jet to access a target location within an eye.

Devices, methods, and kits for ocular drug delivery are described herein. In some embodiments, a method includes inserting a distal end portion of a puncture member into an eye to define a delivery passageway within the eye. The delivery passageway extends through ha sclera of the eye and a choroid of the eye. The delivery passageway is less than about 1.5 mm. The method further includes conveying a substance into a subretinal space within the eye via the distal end portion of the puncture member.

Ocular Injection Kit, Packaging, And Methods Of Use
An apparatus includes a first tray member, a second tray member, and a lid. The first tray member has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion defines a first volume, and the second portion defines a second volume configured to receive a medicament container. The second tray member defines a third volume having a sidewall including a retention portion configured to retain an ocular injector within the third volume. The second tray member is coupled within first volume such that the sidewall of the second tray member and a sidewall of the first tray member enclose the ocular injector. The lid is coupled to the first tray member about the first volume, and is constructed from a material formulated to maintain sterility of the first volume.
