Abstract:
Steel anticorrosion and lubricity composition consisting essentially of (a) a surfactant; (b) at least one neutralized alkyl phosphate in a surfactant:phosphate weight ratio in the range between 10:1 to 1:10, said phosphate having the general formula: (RO). sub. m --P--(O)--(OH). sub. n wherein R is an alkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms; m is 1 or 2, and n is 3m; and optionally (c) 5 to 40 weight percent, based on the combined weight of said surfactant and said phosphate, of at least one carboxylic acid which has both a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic portion.

Storage-stable, concentrated, aqueous, disazo acid dye solution consisting essentially of 10-25 weight % of the lithium or tri(2-hydroxyethyl)ammonium salt of ##SPC1## Wherein one of X and Y is H and the other is CH. sub. 3 and R. sup. 1 is CH. sub. 2 CH. sub. 2 OH, CH. sub. 2 CH(CH. sub. 3)OH or CH. sub. 2 CH(C. sub. 2 H. sub. 5)OH, 5-25 weight % of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and the balance, to 100%, water.

Yellow to orange, disazo acid dyes which have excellent application and fastness properties on nylon fibers, do not change shade under basic conditions and have the formula ##STR1## wherein SO. sub. 3 M is meta or para to the azo group, R. sub. 1 is selected from H, CH. sub. 3, OCH. sub. 3 and Cl, R. sub. 2 and R. sub. 3 are independently selected from H, CH. sub. 3 and OCH. sub. 3, R. sub. 4 and R. sub. 5 are independently selected from H, Cl and CH. sub. 3, but only one can be Cl, R. sub. 6 is selected from CH. sub. 3 and C. sub. 2 H. sub. 5 and M is, C. sub. 1-4 alkylammonium and C. sub. 1-2 alkanolammonium cations.
