Abstract:
Systems and methods for satellite communications are disclosed. Embodiments of the system can have multiple radio frequency terminals (RFTs), each associated with an antenna. The system can use digital intermediate frequency (IF) versions of analog signals for transmission to a remote ground station via a satellite. Digital IF can allow rapid and efficient switching of signals between connected RFTs in order to select RFT and an antenna pairs having the least interference or highest signal quality. A downlink signal combining unit can use receive diversity from multiple RFTs to determine receive signal quality at each antenna. Signal quality information can be shared with an uplink selector to selectively transmit signals via one or more antennas having the highest signal quality for transmit power management.

Abstract:
The disclosure provides systems and methods for interference reduction in wireless communications. The method can include receiving a composite signal having multiple overlapping constituent signals and a noise floor. The noise floor can have at least one interfering coherent signal. The system can characterize and synthesize the multiple overlapping constituent signals without a priori know. The method can include receiving a secondary input comprising the at least one interfering coherent signal. The method can include canceling the interfering coherent signal from the noise floor. The method can include outputting the first signal and the second signal having a reduced noise floor.

Abstract:
A device and method for demodulation of multiple received signals is provided. The device can have a receiver configured to receive a composite signal having two or more constituent signals overlapped in frequency. The device can have one or more processors configured to determine a at least one modulation type and at least one symbol rate corresponding to the two or more constituent signals. The one or more processors can further resample the composite signal at a sampling rate that is a multiple of the at least one symbol rate to determine the characteristics of the two or more constituent signals. The one or more processors can separate and output the two or more constituent signals using the determined characteristics.
