  • Assignee:
Montron Corporation - Mountain View CA
  • International Classification:
    G03B 2100
  • US Classification:
    352129
  • Abstract:
Film cartridge for use in viewing motion picture film having means forming a framework with an index plate with an aperture therein. A continuous length of film having perforations along one edge thereof is carried by the framework. Guide means is provided on the framework for guiding the film over the index plate and past the aperture. Means is provided for advancing the film frame by frame past the aperture. A spool is rotatably mounted on the framework. The spool has a central hub and a film supporting surface extending radially from the hub so that the hub extends away from the surface in a direction generally perpendicular to the surface. The spool has an annular rim spaced from the hub and extending away from the surface and in the same direction as the hub. A portion of the length of film is formed as a roll and is disposed in the spool with the hub in the center of the roll and with the rim on the outside of the roll so that the film can be payed out continuously either from the inside of the roll or the outside of the roll during movement past the aperture.

  • US Classification:
    352 72
  • Abstract:
A combination viewer and projector having a housing with a rear-lighted viewing screen mounted therein. The housing is adapted to receive a magazine having a length of film therein which can be advanced past an aperture in the magazine. A source of light is provided in the housing and is then directed into the magazine to form an image from the film in the aperture. Means is provided in the housing for receiving the image and for directing it onto a rear-lighted screen or alternatively through a projection opening in the housing.

  • US Patent:
    44770545, Oct 16, 1984
  • Filed:
    Sep 30, 1982
  • Appl. No.:
    6/431312
  • Inventors:
Hal C. Danby - Palo Alto CA

  • International Classification:
    F16K 31524
    F16K 716
  • US Classification:
    251122
  • Abstract:
A precision valve assembly for controlling flow of fluids to a patient having a valve element mounted on a diaphragm. At least one ball positioned in a spiral track, when moved toward the center by relative rotation of the spiral track and an opposed longitudinal track, brings a valve and valve seat together to restrict fluid flow therethrough.

  • US Patent:
    45373876, Aug 27, 1985
  • Filed:
    Sep 30, 1982
  • Appl. No.:
    6/431311

  • International Classification:
    F16K 712
  • US Classification:
    251331
  • Abstract:
A precision valve assembly for controlling the flow of fluids delivered to a patient has a valve element mounted on a flexible diaphragm. A controlled actuator displaces a portion of the diaphragm surface, flexing it, and by a leverage action, moves the valve closer to or away from the valve seat.
  • Cartridge Viewer

  • US Patent:
    40663485, Jan 3, 1978
  • Filed:
    May 16, 1975
  • Appl. No.:
    5/578107
  • Inventors:
Werner W. Ciupke - Burlingame CA

  • International Classification:
    G03B 2100
  • US Classification:
    352129
  • Abstract:
Cartridge viewer having means forming a framework with indexing means mounted thereon. The indexing means has an aperture therein and a pair of spaced apart index projections disposed on opposite sides of the aperture. A continuous length of film having perforations along one edge thereof is provided. Guide means is provided for guiding the film over the indexing means and past the aperture. A sprocket engages the film. A drive member is rotatably mounted in the framework and is connected to the sprocket for driving the sprocket and advancing the film past the aperture. Crank means accessible from the exterior of the framework is provided for rotating the drive member. The spool is rotatably mounted in the framework and a portion of the length of film is formed as a roll on said spool with said spool being formed so that the film can be payed out continuously either from the inside of the roll or from the outside of the roll. Optical means is carried by the framework for viewing the film in the aperture. The framework carries an eyepiece which can be placed adjacent the eye to permit viewing of the image in the optical means.

  • Abstract:
Skin Fold Caliper having first and second relatively rigid arms which have one end of each of the first and second members connected to permit pivotal movement of the first and second arms with respect to each other so that the other ends of the first and second arms can be moved between open and closed positions. A gauge is carried by the first and second arms for giving an indication of the spacing between the other ends of the first and second arms. A spring-like member formed integral with one of the arms is utilized for applying a predetermined clamping pressure between the first and second arms to move the other ends of the first and second arms toward the closed position.
