Abstract:

Disclosed are high-strength detachable cylinder-to-plate joints for use in manufacturing tables, shelves, other types of furniture and support structures for machinery and articles of manufacture including shelves and furniture made using present invention joints. The joint comprises a disk with a threaded outside diameter attached to a plate by bolts or screws. A cylinder having an annular end with a threaded inside diameter is attached to the threaded disk to form a threaded connection therewith. The threaded cylinder can comprise a sleeve having a threaded end for attachment to the disk, and an opposite end for attaching an extension member that can have a non-cylindrical diameter (i. e. square table leg).

Abstract:

A pipeline survey pig includes an elongated hollow pig body having an enclosure for supporting a generally cylindrical tubular instrument chassis which, in turn, supports an inertial reference unit and associated signal processing and recording devices. A plurality of resilient cup members support the pig body for traversal through a pipeline section under the urging of pressure fluid. The cup members are spaced apart and secured to the pig body by spacer members which may be selectively provided to predetermine the axial spacing of the cup members so that the center of stiffness of the pig is in a predetermined position. The instrument chassis is secured in the pig body by a cam mechanism which is actuatable from one end of the chassis after insertion into the pig body to wedge opposed chassis door members into engagement with the pig body to enhance heat transfer between the chassis and the pig body.

Abstract:

A spacer ring device for separating plates one on top of the other to produce a cavity in which food can be placed and warmed in a microwave oven. The ring can be sized for various sized plates. The ring can be made of a plastic type material, and handles can be placed so that the plate is gripped between the handles and the rim of the spacer ring. The spacer ring can be made wider at points where it will be gripped. The spacer ring can be made with varying diameter rims so that differing diameter plates can be used with the spacer ring. The spacer ring can be made with a sealing ring so that the two plates can seal against the sealing ring. The spacer ring may be made with clasps to hold plates in place.
