    A pet toy in animal form having a body and appendages extending from the body and defining free ends from which a flexible cord of material defines a plurality of loop portions extending from the free ends. The pet toy may be defined by a plurality of fabric elements which are secured together to capture at least a portion of the flexible cord. The loop portions may be smaller in size than the free ends of the associated elongated appendages.

    A pet training device including a generally cylindrical body and a pair of wings extending therefrom. Each wing includes a resilient stiffener element which tends to return a deflected wing back into a predeflected configuration. The body may define a head portion having a aperture through which a rope is secured, said rope being sufficiently sized to allow a user to grasp and throw the pet training device. The head portion may also be defined by an external head secured to the body via a flexible rope neck element. A method of using such a pet training device is also disclosed.

    A dog training device and method for training a dog to retrieve a downed fowl. The training device includes a head and a body. The head is moveably connected to the body such that the head moves similar to the way the head of an injured fowl moves. Depending on the configuration, this connection can allow the head to move up and down relative to the body, or it can allow the head to move in all directions. The training device also includes a rope or other device such that a trainer can throw the device into the air for the dog to track and retrieve.
